|
 |
A royal selection committee is on the hunt for a regal group to represent Adlington in its annual carnival.
Pageboys, a queen, a princess and a rosebud will be selected this Sunday by judges at the Adlington Community Centre, reports the Leyland Guardian.
Chorley youngsters are urged to enter the contest, with positions available for those aged between 10 and 24.
The August event will feature a host of entertainment for locals all around Chorley, including cabaret acts from the Pure Bee Gees tribute band, group Flash Back and comedien Billy Flywheel.
And a weekend of activities will keep those of all ages entertained, including the crowning of the newly discovered royalty.
Gainsborough has recently selected Emma Marsh as its new princess for its Riverside Festival on June 7th, who will take part in an Oriental themed procession alongside assistant Hannah Preston.
