A girl in a blue princess dress became the youngest ever person to take part in the Race For Life over the weekend.
Chloe Upton, who is four, participated in the event alongside her mother, Jenette, 30, reports the Argus.
Held at Stanmere Park in Brighton on Saturday (June 21st), Chloe, in her princess dress, helped raise money for Cancer Research UK by running a five-kilometre course.
The four-year-old was given a 20 per cent chance of survival when she was diagnosed with leukaemia as a baby. However, following three courses of chemotherapy and life-saving bone marrow, she has been given the all clear, states the newspaper.
Fellow runner Lindsey Delow, 60, told the publication that she and her daughter Abigail Storey, 29, were running in memory of special people they have lost to cancer.
"This is our third time we have run," she said. "We do tend to run together with the dog, but the dog usually wins."
Race For Life raised about £40 million for the cancer charity last year.
