A girl in a Disney princess dress won last week's children's fancy dress parade in the Glassford Gala, reports the Hamilton Advertiser.
Snow White accompanied by her seven dwarfs took first prize, while floats with movie-star themes and healthy eating themes came in second and third respectively.
Laura Sneddon, 12, led the procession in a princess dress as Gala Queen, along with Lord Matthew Smith, who is also 12.
The pair travelled in a single horse-drawn carriage behind the Strathaven and District Pipe Band.
Event organiser Christine Waddell told the newspaper: "It was a full turn out with good weather in the morning. [It] was a successful day that went smoothly with no hitches."
Other activities were a crowning ceremony, stalls, raffles, games, rides, home-baking and a tombola, the newspaper added, although crowds soon left in the afternoon as the weather took a turn for the worse.
The healthy eating themed float were from Glassford Primary School nursery class, which opened in the 1920s.
