Francesca Hodges has been told she will get the chance to wear a princess dress for this year's Lutterworth Feast Week Carnival, it has been reported.
The teenager was chosen alongside carnival queen Hannah Etheridge at a selection evening at The Fox Inn on Tuesday (July 1st), stated the Harborough Mail.
They will both wear fairytale dresses at the August event and lead the float procession.
Hannah, 18, said: "The judges asked me lots of questions about how I would represent the town on carnival day and about my hobbies and interests."
"I'm really excited about this year's carnival day now," she added.
She wins a number of prizes including a haircut, a manicure and £100. Meanwhile, Francesca will receive a manicure and £50.
At last year's Feast Week, Wishbone store on Church Street won the award for the best shop window for its Beatrix Potter-themed display, the newspaper reported.
